Tech Tip of the Week

With the crazy Illinois weather, sometimes we never know if we need heavy coats or shorts and flip flops! Trying to keep up with mother nature in Illinois can be a full time job, and it’s nice to have your mobile devices sync’d up with a good weather app, or radar app, or have the device configured to allow local warnings to be pushed to your device. I’ve heard people say that being prepared is half the victory. We can all be prepared and ready for inclement weather changes on the fly with keeping our technology updated and within earshot. Just to name a few would be the weather channel, radarnow, accuweather, and weather underground. Many more are available with different features and layouts for varying opinions! Enjoy the heatwave this weekend, who knows what we may run into next week!

Tech Tip of the Week

Happy New Year! With the new year comes new reasons to integrate technology into your daily routine. A great example would be the new law regarding cell phones while driving. While we are no law experts or officers (thank you to those who serve), we do understand that one of the safest ways to avoid trouble is to purchase a Bluetooth hands-free kit and pair it with your phone. Many newer automobiles also come equipped with Bluetooth so that you can pair your phone with the car and use the built in stereo as speaker phone. We always encourage everyone to utilize their devices to improve quality of life, and not hinder it!

Featured Review

Great experience!! Very friendly people!! My laptop hard drive was replaced, OS software was installed, antivirus and PC cleaning software was installed, and all of my data was recovered and put on to my new hard drive. These people totally saved my laptop and saved me a few coins since Geek Squad was going to charge me $450, but Nerds On Call charged half that and fixed it in half the time. Although I no longer live in Peoria, I will definitely be shipping my laptop to them in the future should any problems come up, which I hope not fingers crossed knock on wood.
